The Diman Theater Club was formed during the 2007-2008 school year by Diman English teacher Trish Guida. The goal of the club is to introduce students to the wonderful variety and experiences that theater has to offer. It is meant to appeal to students who express an interest in art, dance, music, and actual stage acting. It is also a way for students to expand their educational experience outside the classroom.

Students sometimes forget that there's more to an education than just books and homework. This gives them an opportunity to learn what other exciting things life has to offer them.

During the first year, the Theater Club took 25 students on a field trip to Trinity Rep to see "A Christmas Carol." They also made their theatrical debut (viewable below) during the 2008 Diman Fashion Show, with a 10-minute skit featuring mannequins who come to life! With this success and the wonderful support of the faculty and staff, the Theater Club is hoping to continue such activities for many years to come.

Calendar of events

In May there will be a production of our first play, The Brothers Grimm: Out of Order. Any student who wishes to participate, either on stage or backstage, should contact Ms. Guida at X3205 or at tguida@dimanregional.org.
