Virtual High School – VHS
Students enrolled in a VHS NetCourse will learn effective online communication skills and time management while exploring course options not available at their home school. Students can learn a foreign language, explore a website development course, or learn about sustainable sciences! Experiencing the non-traditional learning format provided by VHS will also help college-bound students prepare for taking online courses in the future. Students are allowed to take a VHS NetCourse in addition to or in place of their elective options built in to the Diman curriculum.
Mr. Ferreira, Diman’s Dean of Students, will be teaching Portuguese through VHS this year.
Mr. Byrnes is the Title I Library Paraprofessional/ HS Site Coordinator for Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School for the 2011-2012 academic year. As the VHS Site Coordinator, Mr. Byrnes is responsible for recruitment, registration, technical/administrative support, monitoring of student progress/grades, collection/distribution of media kits, and serving as a liaison between students and faculty. Mr. Byrnes is typically available Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm to support Mr. Rioux in the library and provide support to all VHS students at Diman and a walk-in basis.
